Often as packed as a can of Fijian mackerel, this place runs like a train...especially if that train is quite sure of its tracks. Everything comes out quicker than a cuckoo on the o'clock. The quality is ok. Fettuccine is very hard to get al dante, and this one should have come out of the bath a minute sooner. The sauce is decent, though I've had better richness and depth, for example, the beef cheek pasta at Ventuno. The pizza is scorched just on the acceptable side, and the toppings good. The broccolini was perfectly cooked, though barely flavoured as promised. The desserts tray looked unnatural, so we skipped them. Great service. The team was probably delighted to not have the place as busy as usual. $88 for pasta, pizza, broccolini and water (incl tip). If that sounds right to you, join in...
Visited Da Orazio for the first time today and was blown away by the incredible experience! The Prosciutto pizza was an absolute delight - the flavors were perfectly balanced, and the crust was just the right amount of crispy.
Moreover, the service was exceptional. Our waiter, Catalina (from Chile!), was incredibly attentive, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time 🙌.
Overall, a top-notch Italian restaurant with outstanding pizza and impeccable service. Can't wait to visit again!
Great atmosphere and vibe! Prosciutto pizza was nice. The bread on all the pizzas was quite fluffy but the flavours could have been richer. Pork gnocchi was a hit - a must try! Service could have been better as we requested cheese 3 times but never received it (we had dinner on a Monday too so it wasn’t particularly busy).
Delicious Italian food. Both pizza and pasta were scrumptious. However, it is very hard to get the attention of the waiting team for service. They tend to zoom in and out really fast. Ordered my drinks a few times, ended drinking just water.
Still on my pizza tour around Sydney and today’s pick was da Orazio in Bondi Beach.
Atmosphere was good with a friendly staff. The pizza dough was superb, light and fluffy. Tomato sauce was generous and the mozzarella was definitely good quality. The spaghetti with crab were well executed with a flavourful sauce that deserved the “scarpetta”.
Porchetta was delicious, meat was soft and very well seasoned. I couldn’t see any skin/crackling on it tho (I would have loved to). Overall , I regret I didn’t order the portion for two so i have more to takeaway🤣
Definitely would go back if in Bondi Beach, highly recommend for anyone who wants to eat good Italian Food.
I haven’t been to Da Orazio since it reopened, so the experience between the two restaurants was so different.
The interior is so great, minimal, a bit of colour and follows a visually appealing. It felt warm, but the space is definitely big enough for you to have your own moment with your dinner date/s.
The service was really good, staff so attentive and nice. They were just the right amount of attentive, not hovering over you, but not disappearing for long periods of time.
The food was delicious, my favourite was the focaccia, but the pizza was essentially just as good. The food felt as though you could keep eating and walk away feeling good, not bloated and gross - further speaking to its quality.
It’s Sydney, so it’s not going to be cheap. But we all left feeling full and with leftovers so I would say it was not ridiculously priced.
Would definitely come back!

LOVED everything here! The vibes were so good, team is so friendly and the food is AMAZING! Parking here is actually super easy, there is a parking lot directly underneath the restaurant for only $10 after 6pm. I loved all the food we ate here and I will 100% be back. And don’t skimp out on desserts, it was the best part of the meal!
Popped by for dinner without reservation on Wednesday after sculptures by the sea. Only had the Diavola pizza, calamari fritti and 2 cocktails but everything was great and tasty. Looking forward to tasting other things on their menu. Service was lovely and friendly
